Sandy Linter is a makeup artist icon & is considered a historian on makeup from the 1970’s to the present. Her first Vogue cover was in 1974. In 2008 she was given the title of ‘Lancome – Beauty at Every Age Expert.’ In 2011,V Magazine did a piece on her first book, “Disco Beauty”, which was published in 1980. The Makeup Wakeup instructs women over 50 on all the ‘How To’s’ – How to look their very best at their age. Her makeup videos are very popular on YouTube, under the channel Sandy Linter 1.
She will be expanding her videos to makeup for the over 40 or 50 group in the future.
In February 2014, Sandy did a cover shoot with Arlenis Sousa for Vanidades Magazine (Arlenis is around 25 yrs old) in addition to an amazing shoot for New York Magazine in 2014 with photographer Norman Jean Roy. In that shoot every subject or model was over 80 years old!
Lancome chose correctly, she is an expert on Beauty at EVERY age as Sandy can answer makeup and beauty questions for every woman. Recently after trying to count all of the magazine covers, she got to over 170 with magazines like – Vogue, Harpers Bazaar & Cosmopolitan.
Icon & model Christie Brinkley has come out with a book, ‘Timeless Beauty’ and Sandy has two sensational pages in it. She also participated with Christie’s makeup instruction pages and did many of the photo shoots in the book.
In November 2015, she is on the contributor’s page of O Magazine. She did a heart-felt shoot, called ‘The Beauty of Giving.’
